February 6 – SOPHIA FIORA at The Public Theater, Joe’s Pub New York

MORE INFORMATION AND TICKETS

Enter the psychotropical vision of Sophia Fiora. A torch singer of an unclear era, she is the main attraction on board a cruise ship making its way towards a utopian destination.

Fiora sings songs of bygone days – majestic epics of idealised youth and mythic rebeginning. Joined by a band of otherworldly musicians, her original compositions weave a surreal soundtrack of post-modern lounge, tropical kosmische and widescreen pop, entertaining passengers as they wait out a long voyage towards a new world.

SOPHIA FIORA is the creation of Sophia Brous, a New York-based, Australian multi-disciplinary artist, composer, performer and director. Brous is frontwoman of New York large ensemble Exo-Tech with pop innovator Kimbra, and most recently feature performer of ‘In Dreams: David Lynch Revisited’ at Strasbourg Opera, Royal Festival Hall, London and Luxembourg Philharmonie. Brous was a resident artist of the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and National Sawdust.
