Cultural Relations is a new cross-artform performance exploring the interpersonal dynamics of collaborative artmaking. It brings together artists Sophia Brous, Mindy Meng Wang and Mish Grigor for the first time, inspired by a real-life 2016 tour Brous, Meng Wang and a group of Australian and Chinese artists took to the Northern Silk Road of Western China, where they were invited to collaborate on new work.

Part travel-diary, reenactment, musical farce and public confessional, Cultural Relations examines the personal and social forces that shape how and what we make, and the stories we tell ourselves when things don’t unfold as planned.

Little Operations is a creative development opportunity offered to independent artists working in cross-artform practice to explore new ideas and approaches.
